Welcome to the Centre for Public Legal Education Alberta’s (CPLEA) Canadian Legal System self-directed course. This course provides a broad overview of the laws and court system in Canada. By developing a general understanding of how Canada’s legal system works, you will learn how to better:
- Identify when you or others have a legal issue
- More effectively help yourself or others with legal issues
- Know where to go for more legal information and help before legal issues reach a crisis stage
This course consists of five short modules and will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete.
